Blogging software
I am installing Wordpress as my blogging software of choice on my other business blog and have decided I might as well do the same for this blog as well.
I have enlisted the help of an expert who has installed the software a few times and we are having some issues trying to get the hosting company to help us, but I am hoping to have it installed and working by the weekend.
I do have some updates to give but will wait until I have moved everything over.
Until then,

Regional Director Training Day 2 (12th June 2007)
Another great day today with some useful ideas being suggested - Poonam was definately on the ball today!
Today we looked at marketing and developing our championship teams which were really useful.
Marketing
From selecting our venues to telemarketing, everything was covered. This is the best bit of buying a franchise, you already have a proven system to use.
I will also be able to use some of these skills in my other business - everything helps.
Developing my championship team
This was invaluable as we looked at the professional and home teams that we need. I know what type of people to recruit and will start on the home front immediately - time to hire a cleaner!
I am really looking forward to implementing the system for my groups and have enjoyed meeting like minded women that I can build relationships with.
Thanks Jacqueline, Poonam and Jo.
To our success!

Regional Director Training Day 1 (11th June 2007)
So today was day 1 of my Regional Director training in Berkhamstead with Jacqueline Rogers. It was great actually to actually meet Jacqueline after building up a relationship via telephone and email!
I also got to meet 2 inspiring ladies, Poonam (Regional Director for Iver and Windsor groups) and Jo (Regional Director, Cambridge), who were just starting out with Athena - it will be great to see us all grow in confidence once we make a start with our groups.
Today we went through the administrative side to our new business and role as Regional Directors and we got our manuals to help us along! WOW is all I can say, the information included is so comprehensive it is overload to begin with. I'm just glad I have the manuals to refer to for when I start launching my groups.
Tomorrow we will be looking at marketing and our support team.
Tonight, I have spent time trying to absorb the information received today so that I can be ready for tomorrow.
Can't wait now to actually get out there and get started - yes I am nervous, but I know that I CAN do it!

My journey begins
Well this is my first post of my new blog. Why am I doing this, easy, I want to chronicle my journey into becoming an Athena Network Regional Director.
I start my franchisee training on Monday and Tuesday next week with Jacqueline Rogers, Co-Founder & National Director, which I am really looking forward to. I will write a post about how I get on when I return to the office.
I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome fellow Regional Directors to become guest authors of this blog and to share their experiences - contact me now!
Until next time,
